Dresses Without Borders: The latest package of dresses were for girls in Equador. These dresses, made by members of St. Patrick’s, protect girls from human predators, because they show that someone cares for them and is watching out for them.

August 2019 - Kids Can Be Heroes vacation bible camp: inspiring stories, entertaining songs and dancing, fun projects, tasty snacks, and fun outside activities.

March 17, 2019 - The 60th Anniversary of St. Patrick's Church - Celebrating 60 years of ministry in Madison Heights and service to the surrounding community.

Ashes To Go 2019 - People in the surrounding community who are unable to attend their own church's Ash Wednesday services because of work, appointments, and other responsibilities, were able to pull into St. Patrick's parking lot for a prayer and ashes on this sacred day.

December 2, 2018 - Handmade Scarves - Before we filled the pews with people,we displayed the scarves our members have sewn, knitted, and donated to give to people in need by way of Open Hands Food Pantry and Cathedral Crafters Christmas Warmth Outreach.

September 9, 2018 - Holy Baptism - On the day of Bishop Gibbs' visit to St. Patrick's, we welcomed baby Dean into the Household of Christ.

Tai Chi - This graceful, low impact practice for exercise, stretching, and stress reduction has a variety of health benefits. In lieu of a class fee, participants donate a can of food for the Open Hands shopping cart.

May 16, 2018 - Woman of the Year Award. Inge Krato (on the right) was presented with this award by the Madison Heights Women's Club for her years of community service. Volunteering at the City Library, in local schools, at St. Patrick's Church, with Women's Club events, and other charitable endeavors such as sewing dresses for little girls in third world countries and knitting scarves for homeless persons, were among her many selfless acts of kindness acknowledged at the Madison Heights Community Roundtable awards ceremony.

May 21, 2017 - Celebration of Ministry: The Rev. Mike Marinco and The Rev. Dcn. Judy Marinco were presented with a stained glass shamrock in gratitude for over 40 yeaars of ministry at St. Patrick's.

April, 2017 - With household items donated by members of St. Patrick's, we were able to provide "Room Boxes" for a Syrian refugee family who have just begun their new life in one of our neighboring communities.

New Year's Day, 2017 - On a day when Crossroads Soup Kitchen was short on volunteers, 6 members of St. Patrick's were among those who stepped up to prepare and serve the meal for over 300 hungry people.

September 13, 2015 - Christians from the Churches of Madison Heights and Muslims from neighboring faith communities gathered in unity to pray for the poeple who were killed or injured by a fallen construction crane in Mecca.We were all blessed by this experience.

March 25, 2015 - What an inspiring night! 70 volunteers from The Churches of Madison Heights, working together to assemble 420 bags of paper goods, tooth care products, hand soap, and laundry detergent to give to Madison Heights families in need.

Ashes To Go 2015 - Thanks to Fox 2 News reports, 68 people came to St. Patrick's for prayers, ashes, and blesings. Traditional Ash Wednesday services were also held at Noon and 7:30 pm. Photos courtesy of Fox 2 News.


In September, 2014 we celebrated the 90th birthday of a faithful member of St. Patrick's, our dear friend, Norma.

Backpack Blessings 

Thank you to the members of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church and Prince of Glory Lutheran Church who donated 46 backpacks filled with supplies to give to elementary school students in need, in Madison District Public Schools.

The 18 volunteers who were on hand to help fill the backpacks, blessed these gifts that the students who receive them may be prepared, aspire to achieve high goals, and find success in their studies and their lives.

Certificate of Appreciation was presented to St. Patrick's by Prince of Glory Lutheran Church in gratitude for sharing our building with them when their church suffered flood damage.


St. Patrick's received the 2014 Corporation of the Year Award for its outstanding service to the Madison Heights Community.

Women in our parish sewed dresses for young girls in South Africa. They were distributed by the organization, Little Dresses for Africa.

April 13, 2014 - After renewing our Ordination Vows and Baptismal Covenant, clergy and lay ministers stood with Bishop Gibbs in support of marriage equality.

The Christmas English High Tea and the Spring Garden Party are annual opportunities for women to gather for tea, finger sandwiches, and cookies - as well as a way to be served by the men of the parish!
